On the Forum: Justin K. predicts the future!!

While sometimes the home page of this website goes a bit of time before one of us updates it, the GMDGC Forum pages are almost always hoping with activity. So, as I get back to updating this home page more often again, I thought I would start occasionally highlighting great stuff from the Forum too. First Up:

2011 GMDGC Scouting Report (Pro Division)
by JustinVT

This year’s AM1 Wood Chuck Cider Green Mountain Point Series winner, Justin Kaulius, decided to lay out his take on next year’s Vermont Pro Circuit. Not only does he predict the top five, he details exactly why he choose these people and placed them where they’re at. It’s fun, light hearted and it wouldn’t surprise me if it turns out remarkably accurate. Here’s a taste:

Expect to continue to see Johnny (Betts) dominate the northern tournaments that he hosts. His experience at those courses plus his mid-range dominance will be enough to put him on top of some leader boards this year. But, reminiscent of not qualifying for enough NEFA points the year the finals was held in his own state, don’t expect to see Johnny at many tournaments in 2011.

Expect to see Chris Young ready for 2011. He’ll be off to a hot start, mark my words on that one. But, being in the cross hairs all season isn’t an easy position to be in.

Dave’s done it all for the GMDGC in the past few years and only has a 4th place finish in 2011 to show for it. I know you won’t give me credit, but you heard it here first, 2011 is Dave Frothingham’s year.

And in the comments, Frothy responds with his own predictions. Here’s a sample:

I foresee alot of ties for second and third making the race for overall pro win tight. Darkhorse Emmit Cosgrove, an unknown to most GMDGC players, will also make a strong run for the overall title.
