GMDGC Basket Sponsorship
July 2nd, 2010 The Center Chains Disc Golf course is trying to raise enough money to purchase new baskets. The GMDGC is in a financial position to purchase two baskets.
This is a change to the approved 2010 budget and will require a majority vote from the membership to proceed. The GMDGC has exceeded member budget by 31 members, when the cost per member is removed this leaves us with approx. $525 in unbudgeted funds. We also began the year with $1000 in operating cash. Using the unbudgeted funds plus some of our operating capital the club can afford to purchase 2 baskets for Center Chains.
Should the GMDGC commit to purchasing two baskets for the Center Chains Disc Golf Course?

Disc Golf has been a wonderful addition to my life. It has helped bond my family as my 3 kids have had golf discs and targets in their life since they were learning to walk. As toddlers they had mini discs and a mini basket (disc golf target or pole hole) in their play room and full size ones in the yard. As they grew we would pursue disc golf competition in the spring, summer, and fall. My club is now hosting the Disc Golf World Championships just outside Chicago (Crown Point, IN) in July 2010. This amazing sport just keeps growing. Visit my store for some free video showing Lemon Lake, the 4 course venue for this week-long tournament. One of these videos featuring me and one of my sons was produced by Comcast Sports and serves as an introduction to the sport.
