Finally Some New Stuff
August 9th, 2007 3 Month Summary- I know its been a LONG time since the last update – summer has been too full of actual disc golfing to have a chance to write about any of it. So here is a quick summary of the last 3 months. Congrats to everyone who participated in the Sap Bucket Open V and Vermont States – 2 great tournaments were succesfully pulled off again. Thanks to everyone who has helped keep Center Chains looking great this summer. Good luck to the Vermonters headed down to Marshall Street in a few weeks (Anne, Dave, Pete, Shane and Warren). Good luck to Tom Knox who will be representing the state of Vermont at the USDCG in October. Check out the updated bag tag stats on the Bag Tag page.
WORK DAY at HARD’ACK – Sept 7 – I think everyone is aware of this now, but in case you are not, the GMDGC is working with the Hard’Ack Association in St. Albans to help them design and install a disc golf course. We have put in a few work days with some dedicated disc golf lovers and have made a lot of progress. On Sept 7, Hard’Ack has lined up about 100 volunteers from Ben and Jerry’s to have a work day in St. Albans and they have offered all 100 volunteers to the GMDGC for working on the course – SWEET! So we are looking for any and all disc golfers to step up and help lead groups of volunteers in activities like brush clearing, tree limbing, tree cutting and general course prep to help get this course in St. A up and running. This is a GREAT opportunity for some major work to get accomplished, but we do need some leaders. Please let me know if you are interested by shooting Pete an email (See the contacts page). Many Thanks!
